Nights or visits?
Whichever you actually sold — overnight stays bill per night, drop-in care bills per visit. Mixing both on one invoice is fine as long as each is counted on its own line.
Should medication be an extra charge?
Yes, if it's more than a pill in food. Injections, multiple daily doses, and post-op care are skilled work with real liability, and a line item is how that gets recognized.
Do I take a deposit for holiday bookings?
Yes. Thanksgiving and Christmas are the weeks you could have booked twice over, and a late cancellation on one is the most expensive thing that can happen to your year.
